'Brechfa Forest covers some 6500 hectares and is looked after by Forestry Commission Wales [now Natural Resources Wales] for the benefit of people, wildlife and timber production. There are walking and mountain bike trails for you to enjoy.'
'We are one of the smaller Ramblers groups but we offer a wide range of walks with experienced leaders who know where to go for memorable rambles. We welcome new walkers in both Welsh and English, and a few of us even manage some words in other languages.'
'Nestled in a gorgeous corner of south west Wales is a walkers' paradise just waiting to be discovered. Come walking in Carmarthenshire and you will be stepping into a county of breathtaking beauty with a rural and coastal scene guaranteed to stop you in your tracks.'
Usually held Late Spring Bank Holiday Weekend.
'A friendly and active collection of people who enjoy a varied and interesting programme of walks and social activities. Formed in 1984, the group has seen membership soar in recent years to over 300, making it the biggest RA group in West Wales.'
'Mosaic of lakes, scrapes, pools, streams and lagoons adjoining the salt marshes and shore of the scenic Burry Inlet. The range of habitats makes the 450 acre site a refuge for many different plants and animals with tens of thousands of migratory birds visiting every year.'
'Three circular walks (Coastal, Pilgrim and Farming) bring to life the cultural distinctiveness of the Llanybri locality featuring the stories, heritage and artefacts associated with (i) pilgrims and holiday-makers passing by; (ii) local characters making a living on coast, river and marsh and (iii) farming life in days gone by.'
'There is so much to see here that you'll need a full day, if not more, to see everything ... As a rule, the "must sees" for most of our visitors are [35] The Great Glasshouse, and [18] The Double Walled Garden, whilst nature lovers also want to know about [43] Waun Las NNR.
Six walks around and about Carmarthen Town Centre: 'Many of the walks given can be lengthened as walking ability improves ... These additional streets only take an extra 5 - 20 minutes to walk and are just as quick and much healthier than jumping in a taxi or on a bus.'
'Enjoy the magnificent views of the estuary, Dylan's boathouse, the Gower, north Devon, Caldey Island and Tenby.'
'Saint Illtyd was a well respected 7th century saint, the trail follows a route that St Illtyd is believed to have travelled whilst preaching in South Wales. The trail links with other long distance routes in south Wales including the Coed Morgannwg Way, Wales Coastal Path and the Ogwr Ridgeway Walk.'
