'From gentle beachside strolls to longer creekside and cliff walks, walkers of all ages and abilities will find something to suit in Falmouth.'
'A variety of professional guided walks on a variety of themes' Usually held Late March - Early April.
'The ancient township of Grampound, together with the hamlet of Creed, lies in the centre of Cornwall, sheltered in the beautiful valley of the River Fal. Settled since prehistoric times, from within the ancient parish of Creed and the old manor of Tybesta, Grampound grew as a main crossing place of the Fal, a focus for travellers and traders moving betwen west Cornwall and England. Thus Grampound became one of the most important towns in Cornwall and has a rich and vibrant history.'
Information on walks around and about the town including a series of leafles covering interesting features in and around Hayle - both historic and present-day.

'Over 200 acres are now a paradise for the explorer, wildlife, plant lover and garden romantic. Victorian Productive Gardens and Pleasure Grounds beckon, along winding paths laid out over two centuries ago. The Jungle takes you on a sub-tropical journey through bamboo tunnels and under majestic tree ferns, giant rhubarb and bananas whilst the estate reveals a lost world of traditional and rare breeds, wildlife and ancient woodlands.'

The Society 'came into being over 60 years ago. At present there are some 350 members spread around western Cornwall and further afield. The objects of the WCFPS are to preserve public footpaths and bridleways, which is done mainly by ensuring they are walked regularly. The original membership lived and walked in West Penwith but now the membership walks throughout western Cornwall and occasionally elsewhere'.
'An enjoyable circular stroll around the town centre. A great way to discover the town's remarkable history through the buildings and architecture which provide clues to the past. Use the Town Map to help you follow the Trail: Get YOUR Great Value Map from Camborne's Tourist Information Centre, and other retail outlets around the town.'
'Until the 1970s a branch railroad in the Camel Valley linked Padstow and Wadebridge with the main line at Bodmin and with the old Southern Railway route to Waterloo. Now it is an 18-mile hiking, horse riding and cycling trail, extended to Wenford Bridge on a former quarry tramway, again alongside the river.'
'From the remains of the old foundries in Hayle to the engine houses scattered throughout the landscape, the reminders of Cornwall's industrial heritage are everywhere along this Trail.' Hayle to Truro.
'Our favourite walks encompassing the very best of what the Fal River has to offer. Picture-postcard scenery waits to greet you at every turn of the path.'
'An Hens Kensa Ha Dewetha (Land's End to Hayle)'
'For me, Helston is quite simply the finest town in Cornwall to live in. Whether one considers the quality of schools, the richness of local history, the fine old architecture of the town, the variety of local shops and businesses, the beauty of the local countryside and coastal areas, or the wide variety of local volunteer groups who work so hard to make life good in the town, Helston has so much to be proud of.'
'Long-distance pilgrimage route (or "legendary walk") ... stretching across south-west England ... between Tintagel and Glastonbury.'
'There is no set route for this, one of the ultimate walking challenges in the UK and whatever the chosen route, it will not be less than 850 miles. There are inherent dangers in using lanes/roads but there are various established long distance routes of which advantage can be taken to avoid such hazards ...'
'A 334 mile Trail from Land's End to Avebury ... The LDWA, with the benefit of digital mapping, makes the distance 303 miles. Undoubtedly they are correct.'
'This route passes through diverse landscapes connecting significant Christian and pre-Christian sites, creating a spiritual and cultural journey which offers opportunity for reflection and inspiration.'
'This is the (almost) complete guide to the Cornish Coast Path. It carries Descriptions of each of 36 suggested stages, Oliver's Diary, Notes of Interest on and off the Coast Path, GPS Data and Useful Information on parking, transport, refreshments and more. Where possible I have included features on places of interest along the way ... '
'This 9 mile circular walk is ideal for anyone who has a spare half day in Padstow and would like to see some of the surrounding countryside. The walk starts and ends in the Padstow and passes through farmland to the coast path at Trevone before following the coast path back to Padstow.'
'This walk takes you through the Enys Estate on tracks and rural roads to the Norway Inn. Visit St Piran’s Well before using tracks and paths to the Royal Oak and a millennium path to the station.'
'In Cornish "Forth an Syns", in English "The Saints Way", this trail was also known as the "Mariners Way". The 30 mile trail links two important harbour towns, Padstow on the north coast and Fowey on the south.'
'Route across Cornwall linking the harbours of Boscastle on the Atlantic Coast and Looe on the English Channel. The Way traverses the rugged and picturesque landscape of Bodmin Moor, visits the world-famous Jamaica Inn, and follows scenic paths beside the rivers Valency, Fowey and West Looe.' Frank Squibb sadly passed away at the start of 2013 and his Website now seems no longer accessible. So I have replaced the Link with one from Visit Cornwall.

'We assembled a team of locals, added a couple of prominent local historians, took advice from the St Agnes Museum, and mapped out ten walks that would take in the scenic beauty, the heritage, and local features of this fascinating place, so rich in things to see.'
Five Walks around and about the Village of St Dennis: [1] Carsella - Gaverigan - - - : [2] Carsella - Gully's Lane - - - : [3] Enniscaven - Gothers - - - : [4] Menna - Trelavour Downs - - - : [5] Steep Carne - Castle View.
'Links to a number of favourite walks in the St. Keverne area, together with photographs of scenes you may find during the walk. Most of the walks will involve muddy paths during wet weather so be appropriately shod. Remember too that field use changes fairly rapidly so paths may not always run exactly where I have indicated at the time I originated the walk.'
'Throughout Europe there is a network of pilgrim routes which lead to one of the three most important places of Christian pilgrimage in the world - the Cathedral of St James in Santiago de Compostela, North West Spain. The St Michael's Way Trail is one of these routes ... The trail stretches from Lelant (near St. Ives) to Marazion (near Penzance) and stretches 12.5 miles/19.5 km.'

'Hens Sen Peran (Truro to Bodmin via Newquay)'
The original Link I had about The Tinners Way from the Save Penwith Moors Website seems to have been removed (but it was to a reprint of a 1994 Booklet). So I have replaced it with a Link to Oliver's Cornwall's detailed coverage Zennor Churchway and Tinners Way.
'We've collected a selection of different types of walks around Tintagel and the surrounding area in North Cornwall. They include coastal, woodland and moorland walks and generally include places of historical interest as well as great scenery, and some optional geocaching. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do ...' ALERT Link changed, at Review.
'Open all year round, come and explore the parkland, lakeside woods, beach and cliff-top fields of Penrose along 17 miles of footpaths, cycle trails and bridleways.'
Penrose [National Trust]
'Have you ever wished that you could take a local expert with you on a walk, to seek out and show you special features of geological interest and explain how they were formed and their fascinating history? Here is the next best thing, in the form of two downloadable geological trails.' Unfortunately the Trails seem no longer to be accessible via the Cornwall Wildlife Trust - originally referenced here - so I have replaced the Link with one to the South West Coast Path.
