'Friendly group of people from Chester, Wirral and North Wales who enjoy walking, socialising and weekends away ... Chester and District Walking Group was formerly known as Chester YHA Walking Group prior to a name-change in 2007. The group was founded in the 1980s although it has been suggested that our walk origins go back as far as the 1940s and 50s.'

As good as you make it ... : 'We run weekend, day and evening events throughout the year. There's something on every week and often several times a week during summer. We plan to have a weekend away every month, and several day walks and biking events every month. During the summer we also have evening walks and biking events every week.'
