'Founded in 1913 we have a current membership of more than fifty.'

'We have published several booklets recommending walks on circular and linear routes, and are currently working on a project to produce more of these walks in a widening circle of up to an 8-mile radius around town.  We also publish monthly walks on our website.'

In 2007, using a grant from the Parish Paths Partnership and a donation from Glaxo Smith Kline, the Paths Group produced a map leaflet showing the public rights of way in the parish and four suggested walks.'

It now is roughly bounded by Borehamwood, Harrow, Rickmansworth, Chenies, Chesham, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Radlett; but focuses mainly on Bushey, Aldenham, Watford, and Watford Rural "parishes".'

'Calstock Parish stretches from Gunnislake in the east to the bounds of Kit Hill. There are 40 Public Rights of Way identified by standards set by Cornwall Council who classify county paths as Gold, Silver and Bronze. It is significant that all parish paths are Gold with only one classified as Silver. Many of the paths are rich in industrial heritage, provide magnificent views of countryside and the Tamar with links to woodland and quiet lanes and roads.'

'An informal group of volunteers who work in co-operation with Goostrey Parish Council and Cheshire County Council Public Rights of Way Unit to maintain and improve rural footpaths around the village, making them more enjoyable and accessible to all, and to encourage the use of these footpaths ...'

'An informal group who meet once a month to walk the local footpaths. The walks vary in length but usually last about two hours. We have footpaths on all sides of the village and different routes are chosen from month to month to give as much variety as possible. This is a good way to get to know your local countryside without having to be super-fit.'

'Our main aim is to clear and waymark a hundred plus rights of way - footpaths and bridleways in Kenilworth and the surrounding parishes, to make sure that all the paths in our latest booklet Kenilworth and Beyond are always open, accessible and clearly marked. This involves building stiles, gates and bridges, path clearance and waymarking with blue and yellow arrows. In addition we hold two social events each year in August and December.'

'We are a friendly walking group that arranges a regular programme of walks, social events, coach outings, and holidays for members. We also maintain rights of way in the area, provide courses for members on map reading and becoming walk leaders. We have produced books of walks in our local region.'

Have published four books of walks in conjunction with Lily Publications: 'Each book contains various walks with corresponding maps and map references, directions and photographs pertaining to each individual walk. The books are designed specifically to fit inside a map case, which can be worn whilst walking. The route of each walk is superimposed onto these maps, therefore making it easier to follow the written text'.

'We are a walking group based in the Medway Towns. Our current membership is around 150 although it is unusual to have more than 40 members on a walk. We walk mainly on Sunday mornings with some longer Saturday walks and in summer occasional evening walks. We walk all year.'

The Society 'came into being over 60 years ago. At present there are some 350 members spread around western Cornwall and further afield. The objects of the WCFPS are to preserve public footpaths and bridleways, which is done mainly by ensuring they are walked regularly. The original membership lived and walked in West Penwith but now the membership walks throughout western Cornwall and occasionally elsewhere'.
