'Walks in the Home Counties or London itself are organised every Saturday or Sunday and are usually between 5 and 8 miles long, and normally start and finish at a station.  Most walkers take a packed lunch, but normally a lunchtime stop is made at or near a pub or café.  The number of walkers varies from under 10 to over 20. Many of our members are retired, and on one Monday each month we meet for lunch at a restaurant or pub.'
